Privacy Policy
This policy describes how 1099 Consulting Services LLC (“the firm,” “we,” or “us”) handles information collected through this website and in the course of providing consulting services.
Information we collect
This website does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to submit personal information in order to read it. We collect information in two circumstances:
- When you contact us. If you email the firm, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your name, email address, and a description of the work you are considering.
- Standard server records. Our web host records ordinary technical information about requests to this site, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and time of request. These records are generated automatically by the hosting provider and are used to operate and secure the site.
How we use information
Information you send us is used to respond to your inquiry, to prepare a proposal, and to perform any engagement that follows. Technical server records are used to maintain the availability and security of the website. We do not use the information collected here for advertising or profiling.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request as part of delivering the font files; no cookies are set by that request.
Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Information may be disclosed only in these circumstances:
- To service providers that operate our website, email, and business systems, and only to the extent needed to provide those services;
- Where required by law, regulation, subpoena, or other valid legal process;
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of the firm, our clients, or others;
- With your consent.
Client confidentiality
Information received in the course of a consulting engagement is treated as confidential and is used solely to perform that engagement. This obligation applies to information shared during an initial consultation whether or not an agreement follows, and it survives the end of the engagement. Where a client confidentiality agreement is in place, its terms govern.
Retention
Correspondence and engagement records are retained for as long as needed to provide services, to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Records that are no longer needed for these purposes are deleted or destroyed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information in our custody, including access controls, encrypted transmission, and encrypted storage on firm devices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Requests should be sent to the email address below and will be answered within thirty days. Some information may be retained where we are legally required to keep it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law; we honor those rights where they apply.
Children
This website and the firm's services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

This site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of sites we do not operate. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or applicable law change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
